Position Description:

Ryerson has an opportunity for a Press Brake Operator position. As a Press Brake Operator you will responsible for operating the press brake machine to process metal and selecting material from specific heats or for physical condition in accordance with instructions on orders.

* Unload and receive material, weighs, counts, check sizes. Identify by color and heat or test numbers.
* Record necessary information on receiving tickets or other documents
* Perform tallying, stamping, and sorting as required
* Safety is a priority - you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training
* You ensure the material meets a customer's expectations by checking the size, finish, and accuracy of the finished product. (Measure twice, cut once!)
* You will use a crane and/or forklift to move material for outbound shipping.

Position Requirements:

* HS diploma or GED preferred
* Forklift, Overhead Crane, and good computer skills are a plus
* Experience using a Press Brake machine preferred
* Experience working in a metals warehouse setting preferred
* Must be able to accurately use measuring tools, specifically a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
* Position requires Ramsay Assessment insert this: Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
