About the Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the design and layout of all processes within the manufacturing team, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for leading the team to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes that enhance productivity and quality. LEAN methodologies that allow for optimal flow and efficiency as well as reduction of waste are key. The manager will also be tasked with identifying areas for improvement and innovation, driving initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all production initiatives both operationally and for internal and external customers is being met. Ultimately, the Manufacturing Engineer Manager is pivotal in achieving operational excellence and maintaining a competitive edge.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles including Six Sigma.
• Ability to be a creative thinker in order to develop, design, or create new applications and procedures.
• Knowledge of facility design and managing construction.
• Excellent analytic and problem solving abilities.
• Must be familiar with OSHA and EPA requirements.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and robotics.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team to ensure effective project execution and professional development.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and systems that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
• Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
