Project EngineerThe Project Engineer will actively participate in project execution, often multi-tasking and supporting multiple requests simultaneously.You will provide technical expertise on marine HVAC systems, ship design specifications, load calculations, duct pressure loss, equipment and duct sizing, controls philosophies, and more.Under guidance from the Project Manager and engineering team:Design HVAC-R systems in 2D and 3D, prepare Control System P&IDs, calculate heat loads, air balancing, duct sizing, pressure drops, equipment selection, and noise.Analyze system costs, including labor and components, for review.Identify functional requirements and vendors as needed, and prepare technical documents, manuals, and training materials.Assist in identifying and resolving project issues and risks.Coordinate with clients and support installation managers during installation.Commission the installed system, perform air balancing, troubleshooting, and client sign-off.Assist with preparing technical quotations, system start-ups, Factory Acceptance Tests, Harbour Acceptance Tests, and Sea Acceptance Tests.Sales SupportWork with engineers across offices to prepare conceptual designs for RFPs.Support Sales Manager on technical matters during client meetings.Prepare and present system designs to clients as needed.Candidate ProfileBachelor's Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.3 to 5 years of relevant experience in ship and HVAC system design and operation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and ShipConstructor.Thorough knowledge of HVAC and ventilation systems for ships.Willingness to travel to various shipyards.Ability to manage time efficiently, with attention to quality and detail.Excellent communication skills.US Citizenship.Knowledge of Refrigeration is a plus.Additional InformationSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: ContractJob function: OtherIndustry: Business Consulting and ServicesNote: The job posting appears active; no indication of expiration is present.#J-18808-Ljbffr
