Overview

KPMG is seeking an Associate Director, Principal Architect Emerging Technologies to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural efforts in the field of AI, including developing new platforms, algorithms, models, and techniques for analyzing business knowledge and data
  • Unite with external partners and stakeholders to identify new opportunities for innovation and research in the field of AI
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in Gen AI
  • Architect solutions and work with a team of engineers and developers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful realization of goals
  • Develop proof of concept (POC) projects and prototypes that demonstrate the potential of emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with other technology groups, including architects, engineering teams, and designers, to acting as an emerging technology thought leader

Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years of recent architectural experience on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects; minimum five years of recent experience in artificial intelligence and enterprise grade platforms
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Proven experience in bringing in AI platforms/solutions to solve business problems and make a business impact, practical experience with Python, Azure AI, Google AI services or similar capabilities on other cloud platforms
  • Background architecting solutions on Cloud platforms like Azure and Google, using native cloud capabilities; strong leadership skills, experience managing and working with cross-functional team of developers and engineers; practical experience developing applications with AI technologies preferably AI; strong digital skills, fast learner on emerging technology and new ways of working
  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations and ability to apply multiple AI solutions to business problems
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; foster the architectural of high-performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in architectural of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
