May be assigned tasks including outside the craft as required
Complies with Company employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies
Pass the Hydrostatic Pipe Tester test or equivalent pipe test required
Prior experience in safe and effective use of craft related tools and equipment required
Ability to perform simple math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and measure using the metric system required
Knowledge of shipyard terminology such as general ship structure and vessel layout required
A minimum of one year experience required
*Comparable employer is defined as:
Ship building or other facilities that build large, welded aluminum structures, or,
Industrial construction such as commercial building construction (large scale construction projects for hospitals, high rise buildings, hotels, and large commercial office buildings.)
Oil and gas construction industry (refinery, chemical plant or large oil rig or processing plant construction.)
All candidates must meet Company basic employment eligibility guidelines:
Comparable trade experience defined as five (5) or more years of experience working in the applicable trade, two (2) years of experience in shipbuilding, or, education in the trade comparable to apprenticeship
