The Director of Human Resources Shared Services HSOM/HSF will create and execute the people strategy for the School of Medicine (SOM) and the Health Services Foundation (HSF). This role includes oversight of organizational design, competency coaching, career development, internal movement, retention strategies, talent acquisition strategies, and succession planning. The Director will strategically plan, implement, direct, and maintain HR-related activities across a portfolio of SOM and HSF departments. This position serves as a trusted resource to departments, centers, and programs, ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals, and compliant with professional standards and institutional requirements. The Director will lead a team of HR professionals in delivering collaborative and effective HR services to faculty and staff, while also leading the SOM Faculty Council and serving as liaison between the Deans Office and the Provost Office Faculty Affairs. This leader will also work closely with UAB Medicine Leadership to establish effective, efficient HR processes.
