Overview/Responsibilities:

• The F.A.T. Technician performs factory authorized (FAT) verification testing and related tasks for the completion of OSS Umbilical's & Products.
• The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion for quality.
• You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our product delivery to the client.

• Perform Fiber Optic Testing & Splicing (Outside Plant Certified)
• Perform Low Voltage (1000V) Cable Testing & Medium Voltage (6000V+) Cable Testing a. Conductor Resistance, Insulation Resistance, Crosstalk/Attenuation, Impedance, Resistance, and High Potential Testing
• Measure resistance, continuity, voltage using test equipment.
• Perform & Assist in Hydrostatic Pressure Testing of SDSS Umbilical's & DE Products (10,000-30,000psi)
• Set up specialized equipment, perform leak checks by using appropriate equipment and procedures, and verify check completion.
• Operation and Basic Maintenance of High-Pressure Water Jet & Hydratron Pumps
• Record all pertinent data, ensure correct digital recording methods are used.
• Setup digital recording of pressure tests (Compact RIO, NI Equipment, Pressure Transducers, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot products and test equipment
• Knowledgeable about pumps and manifolds
• Ability to read and interpret schematics (electrical / fiber optic / hydraulic)
• Knowledgeable about fittings, pressure ratings and proper engagement
• Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.
• Identify and document Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) and coordinate improvements, escalate as needed.
• Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures.
