Purpose of Position: Improve production efficiency by developing and refining shop processes and procedures.
Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation).
Identify and develop improvements in shop floor processes and procedures using Aerotrac Defect Reports.
Develops, and implements improvements on industrial equipment and to reduce set-up and testing time through coordination with The Tooling and Equipment Engineer, department supervisor and equipment operator.
Organize and carry out continuous improvement events through input from shop floor management.
Identify potential workflow challenges and training deficiencies by trend analysis using Aerotrac Labor Reports.
Recommends changes or upgrades to industrial equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials.
Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve them.
Procures and installs new equipment, collects and interprets data, assesses risks, and ensures that tasks are done safely.
Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization.
Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
Observe and practice all safety procedures and personnel policies.
Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
Confers with manager/lead to recommend changes such as equipment utilization, production methods, and procedures to increase the efficiency of the department and promote improvement.
Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner.
Works overtime as needed.
Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. safety glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)
Performs other duties as required.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Must be able to walk around the facility regularly throughout the day
Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel and stand
Must be able to hear running machinery
Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE.
Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
Associate's Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of applicable experience is required.
4-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Must pass pre-screening including a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Work Conditions:
Primarily works in an office environment with some exposure to plant activities including moving machinery, fumes, and loud noise.
