Position Summary

The Wash Bay Specialist supports safe and efficient terminal operations by inspecting, fueling, and cleaning tractors and trailers. This role operates equipment within the yard, manages wash rack functions, documents defects, and maintains clean, compliant work areas while following all safety and environmental procedures.

Safety Lane Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of tractors and trailers for loose, worn, leaking, or damaged components
• Inspect tires for proper inflation and wear
• Check all fluid levels and add fluids as needed
• Fuel tractors and fill DEF tanks
• Complete Safety Lane inspection forms and daily summaries
• Document all defects by completing Driver Repair Request forms and submit to the Shop Manager or Shop Foreman
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of debris
• Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Wash Bay Responsibilities

• Safely couple and uncouple tractor-trailer units to be able to effectively clean tractors and trailers in accordance with established protocols
• Must be able to drive tractors and trailers on terminal yard and through wash rack
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of debris
• Clean wash rack trench weekly
• Manage chemical usage and inventory
• Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay Range: 17.45-24.18 per_hour, General Benefits:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (CDL not required)
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors and around heavy equipment
• Ability to follow written and verbal safety instructions
