Fit Recruiting is assisting a well-established and growing organization inMoss Point, Mississippi,in its search for a Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across departments, and supporting leadership with financial insights. The person in this role will work closely with management to help maintain accurate financial reporting, support budgeting efforts, and assist with company-wide financial planning. Salary is in the $70K-$80K range, depending on experience, with company benefits, perks, and growth potential. Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements within two business days of month end Assist with monthly and annual financial and KPI reporting for management Support the annual budgeting process Provide financial data and reporting for weekly leadership meetings Compile information and assist with reporting for Board of Directors meetings Analyze general ledger activity and identify budget variances Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness Assist with inventory-related accounting data Serve as a liaison with external auditors Research accounting matters to ensure compliance with GAAP Maintain finance department filing schedules and required reporting Manage fixed asset records and related reporting Requirements: Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance required Masteru2019s degree preferred CPA not required 3+ years of financial analysis or public accounting experience preferred Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively High level of professionalism and confidentiality This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to grow within a stable organization while gaining exposure to leadership, financial reporting, and operational decision-making.
