Job Description Job DescriptionCompany: Berry Metal CompanyLocation: Southern U.S. Territory (Preferred base near Bay Minette or throughout the Southeast/Southwest region)Territory Coverage: Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and surrounding regionsCompensation & BenefitsCompensation TransparencyCompetitive base salary + performance-based incentive structureStrong earning potential tied to technical sales growth and account expansionVehicle allowance or company vehicle providedBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceRetirement benefitsProfessional development and industry training opportunitiesHigh-visibility technical sales role within the steel and metals industryLead Technical Sales Growth Within the Steel IndustryAbout Berry Metal Company:Berry Metal Company is seeking a Technical Sales Manager – EAF to drive growth across Electrical Arc Furnace (EAF) equipment, aftermarket services, and steelmaking process solutions throughout the Southern United States.This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical understanding of melt shop operations and EAF systems with strong commercial sales ability and relationship management skills.You will work directly with steel producers, melt shops, maintenance leaders, engineering teams, and executive leadership to provide technical solutions that improve furnace performance, productivity, efficiency, reliability, and safety.What You'll DoTechnical Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute strategic sales plans for EAF systems, upgrades, and aftermarket servicesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities within steel mills, foundries, and heavy industrial marketsManage the full sales cycle including prospecting, technical evaluation, proposals, negotiations, and contract closeGrow and maintain long-term customer relationships throughout assigned territoryRepresent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer eventsTechnical Expertise & Customer SolutionsProvide technical expertise related to:Electrical Arc Furnaces (EAF)Furnace transformersElectrode regulation systemsWater-cooled panelsFurnace automation and controlsPower systems and harmonicsCharging systems and auxiliary equipmentAdditional responsibilities include:Conducting technical presentations and process evaluationsAssisting customers with operational improvements related to productivity, energy consumption, refractory life, and furnace performanceCollaborating closely with engineering and operations teams to deliver customized customer solutionsCustomer & Account ManagementServe as the primary commercial and technical contact for assigned accountsCoordinate with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project executionProactively address customer concerns and maintain high customer satisfaction levelsMarket Intelligence & StrategyTrack steel industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologiesSupport strategic growth initiatives and product development discussionsPrepare sales forecasts, market analyses, and account development plansWhat We're Looking ForEducationBachelor's degree preferred in: Electrical EngineeringMetallurgical EngineeringMechanical EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringOr related technical fieldExperience5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:Electrical Arc Furnace operationsMelt shop engineeringSteel mill equipment salesIndustrial technical salesProven technical sales success preferredTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of:EAF steelmaking processesSteel mill operations and maintenanceIndustrial power distribution systemsTechnical drawings, process data, and engineering specificationsSkillsStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into customer-focused business solutionsTechnical proposal writing and commercial negotiation abilitiesStrong organizational and project coordination skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable managing customer priorities independentlyTravel RequirementsAbility to travel approximately 40–70% domestically and internationallyMajority of travel focused throughout the Southeast and Southwest U.S. including Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, and South CarolinaPreferred QualificationsExperience with:DC and AC EAF systemsLadle furnacesSecondary metallurgy equipmentEnergy optimization systemsOEM and aftermarket service modelsExisting relationships within the North American steel industry strongly preferred.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is technically strong, commercially driven, and understands the realities of steel production environments.
