Position Overview

Hard Rock Stone & Tile is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of the company`s accounting cycle. This role is responsible for daily transaction processing, payroll administration, monthly account reconciliations, and preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Transactions

  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions (AP, AR, cash receipts, credit card expenses, bank deposits).
  • Manage customer invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, and benefits tracking.
  • File payroll tax reports and support year-end W-2/1099 processing.

Banking & Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Support management with accurate reports and financial analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.

Other Duties

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, company procedures, and GAAP standards.
  • Coordinate with external CPA for annual tax filings and audits.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting files.
  • paying sales tax in multiple states 

Qualifications

  • Required: 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a full-charge role.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online/Desktop (or comparable accounting software).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general business software.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related trades preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, or quickbooks).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
